The Bradas tree tie connects young trees to a planting stake and distributes pressure over a width of 3 cm. The green woven tape allows air and light to pass through and can also be used to secure branches, shrubs and climbing plants.

Width and material

The green woven tape is 3 cm wide and supplied as a 50 m roll. It allows air and light to pass through and is tear-resistant and weather-resistant. Its broad contact area distributes pressure at the tie point, but does not replace regular checks of the fit.

Using a figure-eight tie

For a flexible connection, guide the tape in a figure eight around the trunk and planting stake. It should not be tight. Check the tie point regularly and adjust it so that the tape does not constrict the growing trunk.

Yes. Check the fit and any rubbing points regularly, especially as the trunk diameter increases. Loosen or replace ties that are too tight, and remove fixings that are no longer needed.

How many trees can I tie with 50 m?

That depends on the trunk diameter, distance to the stake, number of tie points and the length needed for knots. Measure the requirement at a typical tie point and calculate the tape length needed.

Is the tape also suitable for espalier fruit?

It can be used to attach branches to a suitable support. Do not force branches into position, and leave room for growth at every tie point.
