Material and warmth

The outer boot is made from 100% EVA. The removable lining can be dried separately after wear. TAMS specifies a temperature rating down to −40 °C; how long feet feel warm depends on factors including movement, duration of wear, socks and fit. This rating is not a guarantee for an unrestricted stay in extreme cold.

Sole, fit and care

The sole has an anti-slip profile. Extra care is still required on icy or smooth surfaces. When choosing a size, allow enough room for the inner boots and intended socks without allowing the foot to slip inside the boot.

Why are the boots damp inside even though EVA is waterproof?

Moisture can come from perspiration or enter through the open shaft. Remove the inner boots after wear and allow both parts to dry completely.

How do I clean the lining?

Carefully remove coarse dirt and clean the inner boot according to its care label. Allow it to dry completely before refitting it.

Can I rely on the profile on icy ground?

A profiled sole does not reliably prevent slipping on ice. Check the surface and route carefully, and take additional measures suitable for the conditions.
