Description

Distinguish hose size from push-fit connection

The 1/2–5/8-inch specification describes the suitable hose size. On the appliance side there is a socket for a standard push-fit plug, for example on a garden spray gun or tap connector.

Design without a water stop

When disconnected, this coupling does not automatically stop the water flow. Close the supply before disconnecting if no water is to escape.

The coupling has no water stop. Water can escape from the hose while the supply is open.

What does the inch specification refer to?

It refers to the suitable garden hose: 1/2–5/8 inch. It is not the thread size of the push-fit connection.

How is the coupling fitted to the hose?
