Connections and installation

Install the filter between the water connection or pump and the irrigation line, before the drippers or sprinklers. Suitable mating parts are required for the threaded connections. When choosing a variant, consider the connection size and water volume as well as the filtration level required for the irrigation system.

Cleaning and draining for winter

To clean the filter, switch off the water supply or pump and depressurise the line. Only then open the housing, remove the stainless steel screen and clean it with water. Check the screen and seal before installation. Drain the filter and lines before frost.

Frequently asked questions

Will the filter fit directly onto a garden hose?

The connections have male threads. A garden hose requires a connector suitable for both the thread and the hose. The hose diameter alone therefore does not determine the correct filter variant.

Can I use the screen filter with well water?

It can be used for particle filtration in an irrigation system supplied with well water. Sand and sediment increase the cleaning requirement. The filter does not provide drinking-water quality or remove dissolved substances.

Why is less water arriving even though the pump is switched on?

A blocked screen can reduce the flow. After switching off and depressurising the system, check and clean the screen. If the water volume remains low, also check the water supply, lines and irrigation outlets.

When is a new filter screen needed?

A clean, undamaged screen can be refitted. Cracks, deformation or deposits that cannot be removed require a suitable replacement screen; otherwise replace the filter.

Can water remain in the filter over winter?

Drain it completely before frost. Freezing residual water can damage the housing or insert; also drain the connected lines.
