Description

Clear Robbyrob Lamp Oil is a fuel for suitable oil and paraffin lamps. The 1-litre bottle has a child-resistant closure. Fuel choice, wick and flame setting must suit the individual lamp. Always keep the lamp and bottle out of the reach of children.

Match the fuel to the lamp

Check the lamp’s fuel specification before filling. The description oil or paraffin lamp alone does not approve every burner design. Fill only when the lamp is extinguished and completely cool, and absorb spills immediately.

Set the wick and flame correctly

Set the flame according to the lamp instructions. A wick turned out too far can cause soot formation. Even low-odour lamp oil does not guarantee emission-free combustion. Observe the lamp’s permitted use and ensure adequate ventilation. Never leave burning lamps unattended.

Protect children from lamp oil

Lamps filled with this liquid must be kept out of the reach of children. Even a small sip of lamp oil—or simply sucking on a lamp wick—can cause life-threatening lung damage. The child-resistant closure does not replace safe storage.

Hazard and safety information

Danger. H304: May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. EUH066: Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid breathing mist, vapour and aerosol. If swallowed, immediately call a Poison Information Centre or doctor. Do not induce vomiting. Keep locked up. If medical advice is needed, have the container or label at hand. Dispose of contents and container in accordance with local regulations.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this with any paraffin lamp?

The fuel specification for the particular lamp is decisive. Especially with different burner designs, do not infer suitability from the term paraffin lamp alone.

Can I top up the oil while the lamp is burning?

No. Extinguish the lamp first and allow it to cool completely. Remove any spilled fuel before relighting.

How long will one litre of lamp oil last?

Consumption depends on the lamp, wick and flame setting. Without this information, a fixed burning time cannot be stated.

Is the child-resistant closure sufficient on its own?

No. Keep the bottle and filled lamps out of children’s reach. Sucking on the lamp wick can also cause life-threatening lung damage.
