Description

The Bradas Power Jet tap connector is intended for taps with a compatible 1-inch male thread. Its enlarged water passage is designed for a high-flow connection within the Power Jet system. The housing is made of polypropylene (PP) and screws onto the tap by hand. Downstream components must be compatible with the Power Jet version.

Check the thread and system

Before installation, check that the tap has a compatible 1-inch male thread. A 3/4-inch tap is too small for this connector. The Power Jet push-fit connection is not designed for standard couplings.

For larger water connections

A compatible 1-inch male thread on the tap has an outside diameter of approximately 33 mm. For comparison, 3/4 inch is approximately 26.5 mm. A Power Jet hose coupling is required on the push-fit side. This coupling must in turn match the hose; the hose does not need to carry a particular brand name.

Why do I measure approximately 33 mm on the 1-inch thread?

The inch designation is the nominal size of a pipe thread, not a direct conversion of its outside diameter into millimetres. A compatible 1-inch male thread on the tap measures approximately 33 mm.

Does the connector fit directly onto a 3/4-inch tap?

No. This version has a 1-inch female thread. A compatible tap connector or suitable adaptor is required for a 3/4-inch tap.

Can I continue using my standard hose coupling?

The push-fit side requires a compatible Power Jet coupling. Standard couplings do not fit. The hose itself must match the hose side of the chosen coupling.

Does the tap connector increase water pressure?

No. The larger passage can reduce a restriction, but it does not create additional pressure. The actual flow also depends on the tap, supply, hose and end device.

How should I store the connector in frost?

Remove it from the tap, drain it completely and store it in a frost-free place. Check the seal and plastic thread before reinstalling it.
