Work on metal, rust and burrs

The 60 mm version with a 30 mm grinding width is suitable for medium-sized surfaces, weld cleaning, deburring and surface preparation. The flaps follow slight contours.

Choose the grit for the task

G40 and G60 are the coarse versions for heavier removal. G80 to G100 can further refine the finish, while G120 and G150 leave a finer finish. The required final grit depends on the material and subsequent coating.

Choose a drill or die grinder correctly

The flap wheel requires a drill chuck or collet suitable for the 6 mm shank. The machine must be suitable for a 60 mm tool diameter and this grinding work. Do not exceed 18,000 rpm; any lower machine limit also applies. The maximum speed is not a requirement for every operation.

Is coarse grit always best for removing rust?

G40 or G60 are suitable for heavier removal. With thin or sensitive workpieces, first test in an inconspicuous area to see how much base material is also removed.

Can I use the flap wheel in a drill?

Yes, if the chuck, tool diameter and machine approval are suitable. Securely clamp the 6 mm shank and observe the maximum of 18,000 rpm; a lower machine limit may apply.

How can I avoid unnecessarily deep removal at edges?

Use moderate pressure, keep the contact point moving and check the result repeatedly. Grinding in one place for too long can alter the contour.

Are all six grits included in one delivery?

You order one flap wheel in the selected grit. Select the required grits separately for several grinding stages.
