Connection between tank and fitting

Screw the adaptor onto a compatible S100x8 outlet; the opposite side provides a 2" female thread. Depending on the design, suitable mating parts may include hose tails, pump connections, ball valves or irrigation components. The seal must suit the connection.

Check the IBC connection

S100x8 denotes a coarse thread with a 100 mm diameter and 8 mm pitch. The tank capacity alone does not prove that this version is suitable. Check the actual tank thread and sealing surface before installation.

How do I identify an S100x8 connection?

Measure the diameter and the distance between adjacent thread turns on the tank outlet's male thread. S100x8 denotes approximately 100 mm nominal diameter and an 8 mm thread pitch. The sealing surface and thread form must also match.

Does the adaptor also fit an S60x6 outlet?

No. S60x6 is a different thread size. The tank volume, such as 1000 litres, does not by itself indicate which adaptor fits.

What thread does the fitting to be connected need?

The fitting needs a compatible 2" male thread. The adaptor has a female thread on this side; a fitting with a female thread cannot be screwed directly into it.

Can a pump be connected directly to the adaptor?

A compatible threaded connection does not replace support. Secure the pump and heavy pipes so that their weight and vibrations do not load the plastic adaptor and tank outlet.

Can I use the adaptor for drinking water or chemicals?

Approval for drinking water is not specified. For chemicals, check the plastic and seal's resistance to the specific substance, concentration and temperature.
