Description

With its four tines, the Bradas digging fork loosens beds and helps incorporate compost. Also known as a digging fork, this garden fork has tines made from hardened boron steel, a black/orange powder coating and an ergonomically shaped, rubberised grip.

Hardened boron-steel tines

Insert the four tines section by section to loosen and lift soil. If the fork meets firm resistance, reposition it and deal with larger stones or strong roots separately. Do not overload the tines by levering forcefully.

Coating and colour

The metal surfaces have a black/orange powder coating. Remove soil and moisture after use to help preserve the surface for as long as possible.

Grip and applications

The rubberised grip supports handling. The digging fork is suitable for bed maintenance, vegetable gardens and incorporating compost; use a suitable manure fork for hay, straw or manure.

Frequently asked questions

When is a digging fork more practical than a spade?

The fork is particularly suitable for loosening and aerating beds and incorporating compost. A spade is more suitable for cutting firm lawn edges.

How should I work on stony soil?

Place the tines in a suitable spot and loosen the soil gradually. Do not use the fork as a lever against individual large stones.

Is the coated fork completely rustproof?

The powder coating protects the covered steel surfaces. Rust can still develop where the coating is worn. Remove soil after use, dry the tool and store it in a dry place.

How should the fork be maintained?

Remove soil and moisture after use, dry the fork and store it in a dry place.

Is the fork intended for hay and manure?

No. It is primarily intended for soil work. A manure fork is more suitable for hay, straw and manure.
