Control the water flow at the connection

The flow-control valve helps adjust the flow to the watering task. The water flow can be shut off by hand when changing an attached fitting. After gardening, also close the tap and depressurise the system.

Socket and plug for the push-fit system

This plastic coupling belongs to the 1/2-inch system for garden push-fit connections. It joins compatible coupling connections; an open hose end is not secured directly with a clamp nut here. A hose connection suitable for the hose size is required for that purpose.

Regulate and shut off by hand

The valve handle determines how far the water path is open. Close it manually before disconnecting a connection. A suitable pressure regulator is required to set a constant pressure level.

Can I reduce the water flow directly at the hose?

Yes. The valve allows the flow to be reduced continuously and shut off completely by hand. The actual water volume also depends on the supply and connected equipment.

Can I attach an open hose end directly?

A suitable clamping hose connection is required for this. This coupling uses the socket and plug of the garden push-fit system; it is not a hose repair connector with two clamp nuts.

Does the valve close automatically when disconnected?

The shut-off function provided here is operated by hand. Close the valve handle before disconnecting and release the connection without pressure.

Does the flow-control valve replace a pressure reducer?

No. It changes the flow but does not maintain a fixed outlet pressure. Use a suitable pressure regulator for equipment with a specified operating pressure.
