Description

Fine water application

The perforated head plate distributes water as a gentle spray. When watering seedlings and loose potting soil, start with a low flow rate and choose the distance and flow so that the soil is not washed away. The opening size alone does not prevent plant damage.

Connection and use

The watering head has a 3/4-inch female thread and is screwed onto the matching male thread of a watering wand. The watering wand is not included with this product.

What connection does my watering wand need?

A compatible 3/4-inch male thread. Also check the design and sealing surface; a hose push-fit connection is not a direct threaded connection.

Is the watering head suitable for seed trays?

It can be used for targeted watering. Start with a low flow rate and sufficient distance. The delicate soil must not be washed away; water pressure and distance are just as important as the 1 mm openings.

What can I do if the spray pattern is uneven?

Turn off the water supply and remove the head once it is depressurised. Check the openings for dirt and deposits and clean them carefully. Do not enlarge the holes; cleaning products must be suitable for aluminium.

What should I check if the thread leaks?

Depressurise the connection and check the thread, sealing surface and any seal for dirt, damage and correct seating. Replace a damaged seal with a suitable replacement. Thread-sealing tape is not a universal substitute for a flat gasket.

Does 53 mm describe the watered area?

No. 53 mm is the diameter of the head plate. The wetted area depends on the distance, pressure and spray pattern.
