Description

This brass female-thread fitting connects a connection with a 1/2-inch male thread to a GEKA-compatible claw connection. It is suitable for compatible taps, manifolds and comparable connections. Once installed, compatible hose couplings and fittings can be connected and disconnected via the claw connection.

Thread and claw connection

The threaded side is designed as a cylindrical G 1/2 female thread. The opposite side uses the two-claw connection standard. Before purchase, check that the existing tap or manifold has a suitable 1/2-inch male thread.

Sealing the connection

The NBR ring seals the claw side. Depending on the connection design, additional sealing of the threaded side with hemp and sealing paste or PTFE tape may be required.

Operation and storage

The coupling is specified for a continuous pressure of approximately 8 bar. Do not use the burst pressure of approximately 10 bar as an operating limit. Depressurise the line before uncoupling. Completely empty it for winter storage and keep it protected from frost.

Frequently asked questions

Does the adapter fit every garden tap?

It fits a corresponding 1/2-inch male thread with an outside diameter of approximately 21 mm. A 3/4-inch thread measures approximately 26.5 mm and requires a different fitting or a suitable adapter.

Does the NBR ring also seal the thread?

No. The NBR ring seals the claw side; additional sealing may be required for the thread.

Which connections fit the coupling side?

Connections using the GEKA-compatible two-claw standard are suitable.

What is the difference between female- and male-thread adapters?

A female-thread fitting screws onto an external thread. A male-thread adapter is required for a connection socket with an internal thread.
