Connect three hoses via couplings

Fit a standard coupling suitable for the hose to each hose end. Then push these couplings onto the three nipples of the Y-piece. The connector has no compression fittings for bare hose ends.

Distribute water across two branches

The Y splitter has no integrated shut-off valves. Additional valves or shut-off end devices are required to switch the branches on and off separately. Both consumers share the available water flow from the supply.

Frequently asked questions

Can I push a hose directly onto the Y-piece?

No. Compatible hose couplings are required at all three connections. These couplings sit on the push-fit nipples, and the hose ends are secured to the couplings.

Can I combine 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch hoses?

Yes, provided each hose has a suitable coupling with the matching standard push-fit profile. The hose clamp connection and push-fit profile are two different connection measurements.

Will the pressure be exactly halved in both branches?

No. The available water flow is distributed according to line lengths, cross-sections and connected consumers. A sprinkler running at the same time may therefore receive less water.

Can I leave an unused branch open?

An open connection can allow water to escape. Close an unused branch with a suitable shut-off or closure solution. The Y-piece itself contains no valves.
