Description

The bird-of-prey decoy uses the visible silhouette of a raptor as an optical deterrent for outdoor areas. The sitting version is suitable for railings, posts and window sills. The flying version is suspended and can move in the wind. Changing its position regularly can help prevent birds becoming accustomed to it.

Sitting or flying

The sitting version measures 17 × 17.5 × 41 cm. The flying version measures 35 × 54 × 8 cm, has a wingspan of 54 cm and is designed for suspended mounting. A suitable string or wire can be used for hanging.

Outdoor use

The falcon is made from lightweight, UV- and weather-resistant plastic with detailed feathering. The decoy acts as an optical deterrent. Whether birds keep their distance depends on its position and how quickly they become accustomed to it.

Frequently asked questions

Which version is suitable for a balcony?

The sitting version, with a height of 41 cm, is intended for balcony railings, window sills and suitable surfaces.

How is the flying version attached?

Suspend it from a suitable string or thin wire, allowing it to move as freely as possible.

Does the decoy reliably deter pigeons?

A lasting effect cannot be guaranteed. Birds may become accustomed to stationary decoys. Change its position regularly and observe whether it works at the installation site.

What is important when mounting it?

Secure the sitting version so that it is stable. Suspend the flying version from a suitable fixing point so that it can move and will not fall, even in windy conditions.
