PVC spiral hose with matching dimensions

The ribbed PVC spiral hose has an internal diameter of 22 mm, an external diameter of 26 mm and a wall thickness of 2 mm. The spiral profile supports kink-resistant, vacuum-proof hose routing. The specified temperature range is −10 to +60 °C.

Strainer, filter and non-return valve

The strainer with filter keeps coarse contaminants away from the hose and pump. The non-return valve reduces water backflow after switch-off and thereby helps keep the suction line filled.

Connection to garden pumps and domestic waterworks

The fittings allow connection to pumps or domestic waterworks with a 1-inch female thread, a 1-inch male thread or a 1¼-inch female thread. Check the pump thread type before selecting and seal the connection according to the installation instructions.

4 or 7 m hose length

Is the 7 m version suitable for a 7 m deep well?

The hose length alone does not answer this. The decisive factors are the pump’s permitted suction height, the current water level and losses in the hose. Measure the routing distance and follow the pump instructions.

Which pump connections fit the set?

The fittings connect the kit to 1-inch female or male threads and 1¼-inch female threads. Check the thread type directly on the pump; 22 mm refers to the hose’s internal diameter.

Do I need to fill the pump with water before starting?

This depends on the pump instructions. Many garden pumps require initial priming. The non-return valve reduces subsequent backflow from the suction line but does not replace the prescribed start-up procedure.

Does the strainer also filter fine sand?

The strainer retains coarse contaminants. No specific fine filtration is stated. For sandy water, provide a pre-filter suitable for the pump and do not place the strainer directly on muddy sediment.

How should I route the spiral hose?

Route it without tension, crushing or tight bends. During operation, the strainer must remain sufficiently submerged to prevent air being drawn in. The connection to the pump must be airtight on the suction side.

What should I do before frost?

Completely drain the hose, valve and strainer and store them in a protected place. The hose material’s temperature range does not prevent damage from residual water freezing.
