The Climax face shield has a clear, 1.5 mm thick polycarbonate visor to protect against medium-energy particle impact and liquid splashes. Optical class 1, a scratch-resistant surface and padded head harness support longer periods of work. The head circumference can be adjusted from 56 to 64 cm.

Visor and flip-up function

The visor measures 400 × 200 mm and provides a generous field of view. The flip-up function makes it easy to switch between the protected working position and raised visor. The anti-scratch treatment supports surface usability but does not replace careful cleaning.

Head support and adjustment

The head support consists of a polyamide band with wing-nut adjustment. A textile forehead band and foam padding at the back of the head complement the adjustable support. The semicircular forehead guard is made from polypropylene.

When may I raise the visor?

Only when there is no risk from particles or splashes. During hazardous work, the visor must remain fully lowered.

Can I wear prescription glasses underneath?

Yes, the design is suitable for wearing with glasses. Before use, check that the glasses and visor do not touch or affect each other’s fit.

What does optical class 1 mean?

Optical class 1 indicates low optical distortion and is intended for longer wear.

Can the visor be replaced?

Replacement is possible only if a suitable replacement visor for the three-pin attachment is available.

Does the visor always replace safety glasses?

No. The open visor does not seal the eye area. Depending on the hazard, additional suitable safety glasses are required, particularly where particles or liquid may enter from below or the sides.

How do I clean the polycarbonate visor?

Clean with lukewarm water and mild soap. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Replace heavily scratched or damaged lenses with a suitable replacement visor.
