Description

The green Bradas plant support stakes provide extra support for tomatoes, perennials, beans and other upright-growing plants. A steel core provides stability, while the plastic coating protects the stakes from moisture and blends discreetly into the bed. Depending on the version, diameters of 0.8 to 1.6 cm and lengths of 60 to 180 cm are available.

Choose the right size

A slim stake with a diameter of 0.8 cm is usually sufficient for light herbs, flowers and young seedlings. Medium-sized plants such as tomatoes or perennials can be supported with 1.1 cm. The 1.6 cm version is intended for heavy climbing plants, tall bean vines or young trees.

For individual supports and climbing structures

The stakes can be used individually as plant supports. With separately available clips and connectors, they can also be combined into climbing frames or espaliers. Allow for the insertion depth when choosing the total length.

Which stake thickness is suitable for tomatoes?

The medium version with a diameter of 1.1 cm is offered for tomatoes. A larger diameter may be useful for tall or heavy plants.

Can the plant stakes be connected to one another?

Yes. Suitable clips and connectors can be used to build climbing frames or espaliers. The accessories are not included in the 10-piece set.

Which length should be chosen?

Add the insertion depth to the required support height. Longer versions of approximately 150–180 cm may suit tall cordon tomatoes; vigorous varieties may need additional or taller supports. Soil firmness, wind load and plant weight determine how deeply the stake must be safely anchored.

How many stakes are supplied?

The set contains ten plant stakes in the selected diameter and length version.

Are the plant stakes reusable and rust-free?

Undamaged stakes can be cleaned after the season, stored dry and reused. The plastic coating protects the steel core, but corrosion can still occur where the coating is damaged.
