Description

The Bradas IBC tap has an S60x6 female thread on the tank side and two outlets, each with a 3/4-inch male thread. This allows, for example, an irrigation line and an additional hose to be connected. The plastic housing and ergonomic handle are designed for operation on an IBC container. Both outlets share the water supply from the tank connection.

The tank side has an S60x6 female thread. Both outlets have a 3/4-inch male thread. Suitable hose sections, couplings or adapters must have the corresponding female thread.

Connect two lines

Both lines use the same tank inlet. The water flow through each branch depends on the fill level, pipe routing and connected equipment. Opening a second branch does not automatically halve the pressure.

Operation and frost protection

The ergonomic handle makes opening and closing easier. Before frost, drain the tap and connected lines.

Frequently asked questions

Will the tap fit every 1,000-litre IBC?

The outlet connection, not the tank volume, is decisive. The existing connection must have an S60x6 male thread. Check the thread diameter and pitch before ordering.

Which couplings fit the two outlets?

Use matching connectors with a 3/4-inch female thread. If connecting a hose, the hose side of the adapter must also match the hose diameter.

Is the tank pressure sufficient for two sprinklers?

This depends on the fill level and the sprinklers’ pressure requirements. An IBC tap does not generate additional pressure. With gravity-fed extraction, low-pressure irrigation may be more suitable than a sprinkler with a higher minimum pressure.

Can the tap be used as a safety valve?

No. It is for opening and closing the water outlet. Any required pressure-limiting or safety function must be provided by components designed for that purpose.

How can I prevent frost damage?

Fully drain the tap and connected lines before frost. Store the drained tap open and check it for damage before using it again.
