The Bradas blanking coupling closes open GEKA-compatible quick couplings when no hose or equipment is temporarily connected. An integrated seal supports a drip-tight closure.

Fitting

Shut off the water supply and release the remaining pressure. Position the claws correctly and lock the coupling by turning the two parts in opposite directions. Check that the sealing surfaces are clean and undamaged and that the coupling is fully seated.

Material and features

The main body is made of solid brass. The material is corrosion-resistant and unaffected by UV radiation, making it suitable for permanent outdoor use.

Use on distributors

Use one blanking coupling for each unused outlet on distributors or Y-pieces. This keeps unused connections closed when no hose or equipment is connected.

It is designed for suitable GEKA-compatible claw couplings. This is a different connection type from a standard garden hose push-fit coupling. Check the system, sealing surface and permitted operating conditions before use.

What should I check on the seal?

Dirt or damage can prevent a tight fit. Clean the sealing surface and check the seal for cracks or deformation. Replace a damaged sealing element only with a suitable spare part.

Can the cap be fitted under pressure?

No. Before fitting or removing it, shut off the water supply and depressurise the line. Simply closing the tap does not always release trapped residual pressure.
