Rain and weather protection according to EN 343

The Igarka achieves class 4 for both resistance to water penetration and resistance to water vapour transmission according to EN 343:2019. The membrane and sealed seams support rain protection. The classification does not replace unlimited use in every weather condition.

Sorona padding and recycled outer fabric

The padding consists of 60% Sorona polyester and 40% polyester. An aluminised insert with PU membrane is set into the polyester lining. The material weight is specified as 200 g/m²; this figure is not the total weight of the finished jacket.

Pockets and reinforcements for work

Two chest pockets, two lower zipped pockets, a sleeve pocket, two inside pockets and an E-WARD phone pocket hold small items. Rubber inserts reinforce the elbows. Reflective details complement the jacket but do not establish an EN ISO 20471 high-visibility class.

Colours, sizes and care

Available in navy/black, anthracite/black and black/black in sizes 44 to 64. Wash at 30 °C; do not bleach, iron or tumble dry.

Frequently asked questions

Can I wear the Igarka instead of a high-visibility jacket?

Reflective details alone do not make it a high-visibility jacket according to EN ISO 20471. If certified high-visibility clothing is required at the workplace, these features are not sufficient evidence.

Is the Igarka an unlined rain jacket?

No. It has Sorona/polyester padding and a partly aluminised lining insert. Allow sufficient room for the intended clothing layers when trying it on.

What do the two class 4 ratings under EN 343 mean?

One class concerns resistance to water penetration and the other resistance to water vapour transmission. They describe different test characteristics and are not a temperature rating.

Can I remove the hood in dry weather?

Yes. The hood is detachable and adjustable, so the jacket can be worn with or without it depending on the weather.

Which parts are made of recycled polyester?

The 100% recycled polyester specification applies to the outer fabric. The jacket also contains a PU membrane, padding, lining and other components, so it is not made entirely from recycled material.
