AGRO-FLAT layflat hoses

For AGRO-FLAT layflat hoses, the series name is only the starting point for selection. For replacements and new installations, the exact internal diameter, length, attachment method and approved pressure, temperature and media ranges of the individual product are what matter.

Document the existing hose before choosing a replacement

Before removal, photograph all markings on the old hose and couplings. Do not measure only the width when laid flat: the specified internal hose diameter determines the connection. Depending on the component, an inch measurement may refer to the hose size or the thread. Do not therefore transfer dimensions from one side of a connection to the other.

Data field Document the existing setup Confirm on the new product
Hose Series, internal diameter, length, visible markings Exact size and operating specifications
Attachment Hose tail, clamp shell, hose clamp or other design Approved assembly method and clamping range
Coupling System profile or coupling size Compatible mating coupling
Operation Medium, pressure or suction, temperature, movable or fixed routing Explicit approval for each point

Plan the hydraulic and practical aspects of a new hose line

Diameter, length and flow rate affect pressure loss. First determine the performance required at the outlet and the performance available at the source. Elevation changes and losses at valves and fittings must also be considered. For critical or commercial applications, sizing should be handled by a qualified specialist; a permissible operating pressure cannot be inferred from the category name.

Layflat hoses save space when unpressurised, but must be laid out as specified during use. Avoid sharp edges, twisting, driving over the hose and pulling on the attachments. Check whether the specific hose is intended for rolling up, dragging or fixed routing. Before disconnecting couplings and before storage, fully depressurise the line and drain it according to the instructions.

Order checklist

  • Series and internal diameter clearly identified
  • Required usable length with an appropriate allowance
  • Attachment approved for the hose and coupling
  • Medium, pressure, temperature and routing method confirmed
  • Tools, seals and spare parts compatible with the assembly instructions
