Description

Construction

The straight connections secure the PE pipes with compression rings and union nuts. O-rings seal at the pipes. The lateral BSP female thread forms a separate threaded connection.

Installation

For retrofitting, isolate and depressurise the line. Allow for the installation length and required insertion depths, prepare the pipe ends and secure them according to the installation instructions. Seal the threaded side using a method suitable for its design and this plastic connection.

Material and resistance

The plastic housing is corrosion-resistant and intended for underground installation. If fertiliser or other substances are added to the irrigation water, check their compatibility with all components at the concentration used.

Variants and applications

Ten size combinations cover PE pipe diameters from 20 to 50 mm and nominal thread sizes from ½ to 1½ inch. Select the version according to the existing connections and the irrigation system design.

Frequently asked questions

Can a pressure gauge be connected directly?

If its connection has a male thread matching the version, it can be fitted to the lateral female thread. The nominal thread size, thread type and sealing design must match.

How much pipe must I remove for retrofitting?

This depends on the T-piece installation length and the insertion depths of its compression sockets. Before cutting, follow the installation instructions and check the actual dimensions; do not use a standard spacing.

Do the O-rings also seal the threaded side?

The stated O-rings are located at the PE compression connections. The threaded side needs sealing suited to its design. The pipe seals do not indicate sealing for the connected fitting.

Can I pass any liquid fertiliser through the T-piece?

Compatibility depends on the product and its concentration. For metered additives, check the approvals for the fitting, pipe and other system components.

Is the size selected solely according to garden area?

No. The pipe diameter and nominal thread size must match the connections. Water quantity, pipe route and pressure losses form part of system planning.
