Description

This grey Bradas tarpaulin combines 260 g/m² PE fabric with twice-reinforced edges and rubber-reinforced corners. The coating on both sides is waterproof and the material is UV-resistant. Aluminium eyelets provide fastening points for covering items and materials.

Material and reinforcements

The tarpaulin is made from polyethylene fabric weighing 260 g/m² and is coated on both sides. The edges are reinforced twice all the way round; the corners also have rubber reinforcement.

Fastening and features

Attach suitable ropes or bungee cords to several aluminium eyelets and distribute the tension. The corner reinforcements help distribute loads but do not replace a suitable supporting structure. Position the cover so rain runs off and water pockets cannot form.

Sizes and dimensional tolerance

There are 18 nominal sizes from 2 × 3 m to 15 × 16 m; the calculated area ranges from 6 to 240 m². Manufacturing deviations of approximately ±5–10 % are stated for the dimensions. Allow additional area for side overhang and fastening.

Frequently asked questions

What does the specification 260 g/m² mean?

It describes the material’s fabric weight: one square metre has a nominal mass of 260 g. This alone does not indicate a particular tensile strength or fixed service life.

How does this tarpaulin differ from the 200 g/m² version?

This version has a higher fabric weight and additionally features rubber-reinforced corners. The available sizes also differ. The right choice depends on the coverage area and planned fastening.

Is the nominal size exactly sufficient for my coverage area?

When choosing the size, allow for the stated dimensional tolerance of approximately ±5–10 %, overhangs and fastening points. The tarpaulin should cover the required area even if the finished dimensions are at the smaller end.

Does the tarpaulin replace lashing straps for load securing?

A tarpaulin keeps out rain and dirt. Loads must be secured independently with suitable means; the tarpaulin and its eyelets are not lashing equipment.

Can I wrap damp material airtight all round?

Moisture can accumulate under a waterproof cover. For wood and other moisture-sensitive materials, allow ventilation and position the tarpaulin with a slope.
