Description

The Bradas apple picker catches loosened fruit in a rubber basket. Used with a suitable pole, the fruit picker enables harvesting from the ground. The holder is designed for a pole diameter of 25 mm, and the basket angle can be adjusted. The picking head is supplied without a pole.

Catching fruit directly

Position the shaped basket beneath the fruit and release it with a short pull. The fruit falls directly into the basket, helping to avoid impact with the ground. Assess the footing, reach and branch stability before use.

Alignment and pole holder

The holder is designed for poles with a diameter of 25 mm. The angle can be adjusted to suit the branch position. The basket is intended for apples, pears, plums, damsons, quinces and citrus fruit; it is less precise for very small fruit such as cherries.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my existing broom or telescopic pole?

The holder is designed for a pole diameter of 25 mm. The pole’s attachment method must also fit and hold securely. Not every telescopic pole with a similar diameter has the same holder.

How can I pick an apple without it falling to the ground?

Position and align the basket beneath the fruit, then gently release the apple towards the basket. Empty the basket in good time so that harvested fruit is not pressed against other fruit.

Will it reach all the fruit in the tree?

Reach depends on the pole, your position and the branch location. The basket is supplied without a pole and therefore has no fixed working height.

Can I also harvest pears or plums?

The basket can be used for suitable fruit such as pears, plums, damsons, quinces and citrus fruit. Consider the size and firmness of the fruit; very small fruit is less easy to collect precisely.

How do I protect the basket and fruit after harvesting?

Empty the fruit carefully, remove plant residue, and clean and dry the basket. Check the basket and attachment for damage before the next use.
