Lenses and magnification

The set includes five optical plastic lenses with 1.0×, 1.5×, 2.0×, 2.5× and 3.5× magnification.

Headband and tilt

The headband is adjustable. The lens tilt angle can be adapted to the work situation. The headband magnifier can be worn over normal glasses.

Lighting and storage

Two LEDs illuminate the work area. Two AAA batteries are required for operation. Unused interchangeable lenses can be stored in the supplied lens case.

Which magnification is a good starting point?

Start with a low magnification and change to a stronger lens if the detail is not sufficiently visible. The five values from 1.0× to 3.5× are magnification factors, not dioptre values.

What changes at higher magnification?

Higher magnification restricts the working distance and field of view. Choose the lowest magnification at which you can still see the detail clearly.

Can the headband magnifier be adjusted to my head and working position?

Yes. The headband is adjustable and the lens angle can be set to suit the work situation.

Can the headband magnifier be worn over normal glasses?

It is intended to be worn over normal glasses. Nevertheless, check the fit with your particular glasses, as not every frame shape fits equally well.

How do the lighting and storage work?

The two LEDs require 2 x AAA batteries; suitable batteries must be available. The case is intended solely for storing the lenses.
