Safety features

The composite toe cap is designed for the standardised 200 J impact test. The textile Kevlar insert provides penetration resistance. Very thin or particularly sharp objects and higher loads may exceed the protection level. Antistatic properties and energy absorption in the heel are included in the S3L class.

Durable upper

Nubuck leather and Oxford fabric form the water-repellent upper. The warm lining adds insulation in cool weather. Reflective details return incident light. They do not replace required high-visibility clothing.

Sole and fastening

The two-layer PU/PU sole carries the additional markings FO for fuel resistance and SR for an additional slip-resistance test. Clean dirt from the tread regularly; even a tested sole cannot prevent every slip.

What does S3L mean for these winter safety boots?

S3L combines, among other features, toe protection, antistatic properties, energy absorption in the heel and a water-repellent upper with a profiled sole and non-metallic penetration resistance. The PL-type insert is tested with a 4.5-mm test nail. In the Jorg, it is made from Kevlar.

What do FO and SR mean?

FO indicates fuel resistance of the outsole. SR refers to an additional slip-resistance test on ceramic tiles with glycerine. Both markings relate to defined test conditions; they are not a general guarantee of chemical resistance or slip prevention.

Are the Jorg boots completely waterproof?

The upper is water-repellent. However, protection class S3L does not certify the entire footwear as waterproof. For prolonged standing in water, waterproof boots designed for that purpose are required.

Which toe cap is fitted?

The Jorg has a composite-material toe cap with a standardised impact resistance of 200 J. It allows room for toe movement when the correct shoe size is worn.

What temperature is the lining designed to keep warm?

The warm lining is intended for cold working conditions. A fixed personal comfort temperature cannot be derived from this: movement, socks, moisture and duration of use affect how warm you feel.

How do I care for the nubuck leather and lining?

Remove coarse dirt with a soft brush and use only care products suitable for nubuck. Allow damp boots to dry thoroughly in a well-ventilated place at room temperature. Avoid direct heat from radiators and aggressive cleaners.
