Removable warm lining and cold insulation

The warm lining can be removed for drying. An aluminium insulating layer under the foot supports protection against cold from the ground. The specification up to −30 °C describes the stated temperature range; how warm the foot remains also depends on wearing time, movement, socks and moisture.

Toe cap and penetration resistance

The toe cap is designed for 200 J impact energy and 15 kN compression load. The penetration-resistant insert is specified at 1100 N. SRB refers to slip testing on steel with glycerine. FO indicates sole resistance to fuel oil, while E indicates energy absorption in the heel area.

Fit and drying of the thermal boots

Try them on with the work socks intended for use: the toes need room while the heel should remain sufficiently secure when walking. Refit the suitable warm lining after drying. Modifications or replacement parts must not impair the protective function of the boot.

Is the removable part only an insole?

It is the warm lining inside the boot. It can be removed for drying. For replacement, use a lining suitable for the model and protective function.

Does −30 °C mean that my feet will always stay warm at that temperature?

No. The temperature specification is not a guarantee of individual warmth or unlimited wearing time. Movement, moisture, socks and working duration affect warmth.

What does SRB mean on these boots?

SRB refers to slip testing on a steel floor with glycerine. It does not mean general slip resistance on ice, snow or every wet surface.

Can water enter through the top of the shaft?

The EVA boot body keeps water out. However, the upper opening is not a watertight closure. Water must not flow over the shaft edge.

How do I dry the lined safety boots?

Remove the warm lining and allow the boots and lining to dry according to the care instructions. Avoid strong direct heat. Before the next use, refit the dry lining correctly and check the condition of the boots.
