Work on recesses and curves

The curved design makes it easier to work on concave and irregular surfaces. Remove material in controlled stages and check progress regularly. A flat rasp disc may be better suited to broad, level surfaces.

Work on wood, rubber and plasterboard

As well as wood and wood-based materials, the disc is suitable for rubber and plasterboard. Secure the workpiece and remove foreign objects from the work area. Rasping removes material; further sanding may be needed for the desired final surface.

Observe fitting requirements and limits

The angle grinder’s mounting, fastening and guard must match the disc. Check that the machine is approved for this type of tool. The maximum speed is 12,000 rpm and the maximum peripheral speed is 80 m/s. Observe both limits and operate the machine according to its instructions.

When is a curved disc more useful than a flat one?

The convex working surface can work more precisely in hollows, curves and shaped surfaces. A flat design is often more suitable for broad, level areas.

Will the disc fit into every narrow recess?

No. The disc diameter, curvature and space required for the guard limit the shapes that can be reached. Do not force it into a tight area or remove the guard for greater access.

Can I create the final contour in one pass?

It is better to remove material gradually and check the contour regularly. Removed material cannot be restored; switch to finer finishing where necessary before reaching the final dimension.

What must I check before fitting?
