Description

The Climax elastic tool tether secures suitable hand tools during work at height. A carabiner connects the polyester band to a secure attachment point; tools with a hole or eyelet can be attached directly. The band extends from 93 to 118 cm, supporting freedom of movement. If a tool is dropped, it is slowed elastically.

Attachment and freedom of movement

Attach the tether to a suitable attachment point intended for this purpose. The connection to the tool must be secured against slipping; an arbitrary hole or belt loop is not automatically sufficient. Choose the band routing and fall zone so that a caught tool cannot strike anyone.

Observe the load limit

The permitted tool mass is no more than 4 kg. Check the band, carabiner and attachment points before every use. After catching a tool, inspect the tether according to the manufacturer's instructions before using it again. The elastic design can reduce the impact, but does not eliminate a jerk.
