Description

The Bradas SUNFLEX garden hose has an internal diameter of 5/8 inch or 15 mm and is available in 30 and 50 m lengths. It connects a water source to watering and cleaning equipment for garden and cleaning work. Its three-layer PVC construction contains a synthetic-fibre braided reinforcement; the maximum operating pressure is 8 bar.

Three layers with fabric reinforcement

A black PVC inner layer, a synthetic-fibre braided reinforcement and a yellow transparent soft-PVC outer layer form the hose. The braid carries the pressure load. The cadmium-free hose is UV-resistant; the black inner layer limits light entry and therefore one prerequisite for algae growth.

Choose 30 or 50 m according to the route

Measure the route from the water source to the furthest point of use and allow room to guide the hose around beds and obstacles. An unnecessarily long hose increases pressure loss and the effort required when coiling it. Choose hose fittings suitable for a 15 mm hose and check them against the irrigation equipment coupling system.

Lay out without tight bends

This version is not kink- or twist-resistant. Lay the hose out fully with wide curves rather than pulling it over sharp edges. After use, turn off the water supply, release the pressure and drain the water before storing it for longer periods.

Frequently asked questions

Will existing 1/2-inch hose fittings fit?

The fitting must explicitly accommodate a 15 mm or 5/8-inch hose diameter. Some versions fit both sizes, while others do not. The push-fit system must also match the existing accessories.

Why does the water jet become weaker when I pull the hose?

A kink or severe twist can restrict the flow. Turn off the water supply and check the layout. Hose length, the supply line and the connected appliance also affect the available water volume.

Is 8 bar the hose burst pressure?

No. 8 bar is the maximum operating pressure. The lowest permitted operating pressure of the couplings and equipment used also applies to the complete line.

Can I store the hose filled over winter?

Before frost, drain the water from the hose and connections and store the hose in a protected place. Avoid tight bends and severe twists when coiling it.
