Description

The Cofra ERGOTEK FAST is a fall arrest harness to EN 361:2002 with a galvanised-steel dorsal D-ring and a sternal attachment made from two A/2 loops that must be used together. The upper straps are made from stretchable ELASTYX material. Adjustable shoulder and seat straps allow a tailored fit. Two coated-steel quick-release buckles make the harness easier to put on and remove. The harness is designed for up to 150 kg, including equipment and tools.

Attachment points and adjustment

The dorsal D-ring is positioned on the back. The sternal attachment at the chest is formed using the two A/2 loops together; they must not be used as two independent attachment points. The upper straps are made from ELASTYX. The shoulder and seat straps are adjustable and must be set to suit the wearer’s body shape.

Inspection and system limitations

Before every use, inspect the straps, stitching, buckles and attachment points for damage and correct condition. A thorough inspection by a competent person is required at least every twelve months; conditions of use may require shorter intervals. The harness must be integrated into a suitable fall arrest system. Its other components must also be suitable for the total weight and application.
