Description

Low-level irrigation for beds and planting rows

The soaker hose releases water along its length close to the ground. It is suitable for beds, hedges, shrubs, vegetable plantings and flower plantings.

Flexible installation with textile cover

The flexible hose can be laid to suit planting rows and bed layouts. It can be installed above ground or up to a maximum of 10 cm beneath the soil.

Connection and extension

The ½-inch quick couplings allow connection to a suitable garden irrigation system. Additional hose sections may increase the total length to no more than 60 m. After extending the system, check that plants at the end of the line receive sufficient water.

Filter and permitted pressure

Install a disc filter upstream of the irrigation hose so that solid dirt particles do not affect water delivery. Operating pressure must not exceed 6 bar. Check the pressure and water delivery during irrigation and adjust them according to the hose instructions.

Suitable use

The hose is intended for garden irrigation. It is not suitable for drinking water or hot water.

Frequently asked questions

Can the soaker hose be installed underground?

Yes. The hose can be installed above ground or up to a maximum of 10 cm beneath the soil. Follow the enclosed installation instructions.

How far may the hose be extended overall?

A total length of up to 60 m is intended. Connect the additional section with suitable connectors. After extending the system, check water delivery along the entire line; the water supply and changes in elevation affect the result.

Must a filter be installed upstream?

Yes. An upstream disc filter retains solid particles and helps prevent blockages. It must suit the system flow rate and be cleaned according to the water quality.

What should I observe when storing it over winter?

Before the first frost, disconnect the water supply and drain the hose and connections. Coil the removed hose without tight bends and store it in a frost-protected place. Check the couplings and hose cover before reconnecting.

What is the maximum permitted pressure?

Operating pressure must not exceed 6 bar. Adjust it according to the product instructions and check water delivery during operation. A suitable pressure reducer is required if the supply pressure is higher.
