For B and C couplings

One tool handles Storz sizes B and C. In hose applications these are often associated with 75 mm and 52 mm nominal sizes respectively. The B/C designations are decisive for the correct coupling fit; inch measurements alone do not replace checking the coupling size.

More leverage when loosening

First shut off the water supply, switch off the pump and release the pressure in a controlled manner. Only then fit the spanner correctly and turn the coupling. Clean dirty claws and sealing surfaces. Do not open a pressurised hose connection using additional leverage.
