Choose the correct downpipe diameter

The version must match the diameter of the round PVC or metal downpipe. 80 and 100 mm are two different connection sizes. Before cutting the downpipe, plan the installation height, insertion depth and route of the outlet to the water butt.

Adjust the flow by hand

The valve regulates the water flow to the water butt. Monitor the water level and close the flow when the butt is full. Automatic shut-off requires an appropriately designed additional solution; the manual valve does not replace it.

Does the same version fit both 80 and 100 mm?

No. Choose the version to match the existing downpipe. Measure the pipe diameter and check the installation position and connection to the water butt beforehand.

Does the diverter shut off automatically when the butt is full?

The valve is operated by hand. Close the flow when the butt is full; this version should not be relied on as an automatic overflow protection.

Can I reduce the flow to the water butt?

Yes. The adjustable valve lets you reduce or shut off the water flow. The available quantity of water also depends on rainfall, roof area and the downpipe.

How should I prepare the connection for frost?

Close the flow to the butt and empty the connected pipes and container. The roof drainage must remain clear. Check water-carrying parts for any water left inside.
