Frequently asked questions

Which of the three apron sizes is right for my work?

The available sizes are 60 × 90, 70 × 100 and 80 × 110 cm. Compare the measurements with the coverage required for the torso and thighs. Consider your typical working position; the apron must not restrict walking or bending.

Is the apron sufficient as standalone welding clothing?

No. It covers only part of the body. Depending on the task, the arms, back, legs and feet require additional suitable protective clothing and equipment.

Is the apron automatically suitable for every welding process?

Selection depends on the complete protection class, process and workplace exposure. The EN 11611 specification alone is not a blanket approval for all welding or foundry work.

How should I check the leather apron before use?

Check the leather, Kevlar stitching and metal buckle for tears, open areas and secure operation. Adjust the apron so the required areas remain covered in the working position.

Can I machine-wash the leather apron?

Follow the care information on the product. Do not machine-wash it without corresponding approval. Light soiling can be carefully removed with a damp cloth.
