Adjusting the fit and wearing height

Adjust the head size and suspension height so that the helmet sits securely without pressure. The six attachment points connect the suspension to the shell. Keep the intended space between the head and shell clear and do not store objects in it.

Mechanical and electrical head protection

EN 397 concerns the industrial safety helmet. The model is also specified to EN 50365 as a class 0 electrically insulating helmet for installations up to 1,000 V AC or 1,500 V DC. It is part of the protective equipment appropriate for the work and does not alone protect the whole body from electrical hazards.

Accessories and temperature range

The helmet has a 30 mm accessory slot. Accessories must be expressly suitable for use with this helmet; slot width alone is not sufficient. The stated operating temperature range is −20 to +50 °C.

How do I adjust the helmet to my head?

Adjust the suspension to your head circumference. The range is 53 to 61 cm. Three height positions are also available. The helmet should remain secure when you tilt your head, without pressure points.

Will every accessory with a 30 mm mount fit?

No. The mount width only describes the mechanical size. Ear defenders, visors and other accessories must be suitable for use with this helmet and fitted according to the relevant instructions.

Is EN 397 sufficient evidence of electrical insulation?

No. This helmet additionally specifies EN 50365, class 0, for that purpose. The suitability of the complete protective equipment and working method must match the electrical hazard.

Must I replace the helmet after a strong impact?

Yes. Remove the helmet from service after a significant blow or impact, even if no external damage is visible. Otherwise, assess service life and replacement intervals using the manufacturer’s instructions and helmet marking.

How should I store the safety helmet after work?

Store it clean and dry, protected from unnecessary heat and direct sunlight. Do not apply solvents or unauthorised paints or adhesives to the shell. Check the shell, suspension and fastenings before use.
