The six screw extractors in the set, also known as left-hand extractors, are designed to remove damaged screws and thread remnants after pre-drilling. The left-hand thread engages the screw remnant when turned anticlockwise. The 3/8-inch square drive allows operation with a compatible ratchet or breaker bar.

How the left-hand thread works

First, drill a suitable hole in the screw remnant. Then insert the appropriate extractor and turn it anticlockwise. The left-hand thread can grip the remnant and release it from the threaded hole.

Six sizes in a case

The extractors have sizes from 2 to 10 mm; the specified screw range is M5 to M20. The plastic case with insert keeps all six pieces organised and ready for transport.
