Description

Toothed spade blade with foot step

The toothed edge helps penetrate soil with roots. The flat blade shape is suitable for planting holes, bed work and lawn edging. Work in small sections in very hard ground and expose larger stones. Do not overload the shaft by levering sideways against firmly stuck obstacles.

Caring for the wooden shaft

Remove soil and moisture from the wooden shaft after use and store it dry. Before work, check the shaft and its connection to the blade for cracks, splinters and looseness. Replace damaged parts before further use.

Applications

The spade is intended for gardening, hobby gardening and earthworks on construction sites.

Frequently asked questions

What is a flat spade particularly suitable for?

The flat blade shape is intended for bed work, planting holes and edging lawns. The toothed edge makes it easier to penetrate soil with roots; it does not replace a tool for cutting through thick roots.

How does it differ from a pointed spade?

This T-REX has a flat blade with a toothed edge. A pointed spade has a pointed blade shape, which can help when first entering hard ground. The right shape depends on the soil and task.

How can I protect the wooden shaft?

Do not use the spade as a lever for firmly anchored stones or to forcefully break roots loose. Clean, dry and store it in a protected place after work. Check for cracks and loose connections before the next use.

Can the wooden shaft be replaced?

A replacement shaft must match the spade blade socket and fastening. Not every wooden shaft has the right dimensions. Only use the spade again once the connection is firm and secure.
