Work gloves · Compare assembly gloves by handling requirements
A workpiece has a sharp edge that presents a hazard during manual carrying. Once the required cut performance is established, compare suitable versions using a safe sample to check a secure fit and controlled changes of grip. If the next work step introduces a protruding point, assess this additional hazard separately; do not simply treat the cut rating letter as approval for puncture protection.
The material alone, such as a named high-performance fibre, does not establish a cut protection class. The test result and intended coverage must relate to the specific version. Where there is a risk of being drawn into machinery, gloves themselves can be dangerous; the specified working procedure is decisive.
