Choose a 6 or 8 mm hose tail

Choose the tail size according to the matching hose internal diameter. Also consider the hose material and suitable fastening for the connection. A compressed-air hose merely pushed on loosely is not a completed connection.

Match M16 × 1.5 to the mating part

The connector requires a mating part with the same thread size and pitch. M16 × 1.5 refers here to the connection thread. It does not indicate universal compatibility with every lorry or car tyre valve.

Install as part of the tyre inflation system

Disconnect the compressed-air supply and depressurise the system before installation or changing the connection. The complete system must be suitable for the intended operating pressure. Then check professionally that the threaded connection and hose fastening are securely sealed.
