Kingsmill fabric and UV protection

The fabric weighs 245 g/m² and is rated UPF 40+. Portwest states that the fabric blocks 98% of UV radiation. This textile protection applies to covered areas; suitable additional sun protection is required for exposed skin and the head.

Practical features

The coverall has eight pockets, including a ruler pocket. The two-way zip makes dressing and undressing easier, while the elasticated back supports the fit.

Sizes and care

The age sizes range from 4–5 to 14–15 years. Consider body measurements and clothing worn underneath when choosing a size. The sanforised fabric has been pre-treated to reduce shrinkage. Follow the care label for washing temperature and drying; empty the pockets before washing and close the zips.

Is the child's age enough to choose the size?

The age indication is a guide. Also consider body measurements and room for clothing worn underneath. When trying it on, squatting and moving the arms should be possible without significant tension.

Can sanforised fabric still shrink?

The treatment reduces shrinkage. It does not mean the fabric will retain its dimensions at every washing temperature and drying method; continue to follow the care label.

Does the coverall replace sun protection for the face and hands?

No. The textile UV protection applies to covered skin. Protect exposed areas and the head separately as appropriate.

What pockets does the children's coverall have?

There are eight pockets in total, including a ruler pocket. Remove hard or sharp objects before playing and before washing.
