Three combinable mesh sections

One section measures 20 × 33 cm. When joined, one, two or three sections produce an enclosure with an approximate diameter of 10, 19 or 29 cm respectively. These are the enclosure diameters, not maximum trunk dimensions. Choose a larger size than the current trunk to allow clearance from the bark and further thickening.

Plastic mesh with ventilation holes

The dimensionally stable plastic mesh is UV-resistant and fitted with ventilation holes. It is available in green, brown and grey. It can be used on fruit trees, ornamental trees, young trees, shrubs and in garden areas, among other applications.

Will a mesh enclosure with a 10 cm diameter fit a 10 cm-thick trunk?

There would not be enough clearance. The stated diameters refer to the joined mesh. The trunk needs space from the bark and room for further growth.

How do I adapt the protection as a tree grows?

Check the clearance between the trunk and mesh regularly. If it becomes too tight, add further sections or create a larger enclosure. Also check the fasteners and any possible rubbing points.

Can I run a brushcutter directly against the mesh?

Maintain a clearance even when the tree guard is fitted. Cutting tools can damage the plastic mesh; it is not approved for direct contact with every line or metal blade.

Are the three sections enough for three trees?

That depends on the diameter required. One section closed by itself creates an enclosure of about 10 cm diameter. If several sections are needed per trunk, fewer trees can be protected with one set.

Is the mesh a protective fence against roe deer?

It covers a limited area around the trunk. Protection for accessible shoots and comprehensive protection against roe deer requires a suitably sized protective structure.
