The Bradas Storz spanner makes it easier to connect and disconnect B and C couplings. It provides extra leverage when a pressure-free coupling is difficult to turn after use. Its compact design makes it easy to store ...

Description

For B and C couplings

One tool handles Storz sizes B and C. In hose applications these are often associated with 75 mm and 52 mm nominal sizes respectively. The B/C designations are decisive for the correct coupling fit; inch measurements alone do not replace checking the coupling size.

More leverage when loosening

First shut off the water supply, switch off the pump and release the pressure in a controlled manner. Only then fit the spanner correctly and turn the coupling. Clean dirty claws and sealing surfaces. Do not open a pressurised hose connection using additional leverage.

Frequently asked questions

Which coupling sizes can it operate?

The tool fits Storz couplings in sizes B and C, often used with 3-inch and 2-inch hoses respectively. Check the coupling type before fitting the spanner.

When is a Storz spanner needed?

When a pressure-free B or C coupling is difficult to turn by hand. Shut off the water supply and fully depressurise the line before using the spanner.

Is the tool suitable for A and D couplings?

No. This spanner’s fittings are designed for B and C. Choose a suitable spanner for other coupling sizes.

Can I use it to open a coupling that is still pressurised?

No. Shut off the supply and release the line pressure in a controlled manner before opening. The spanner operates the coupling but does not replace pressure relief.

How can the spanner be transported?

Its compact design is suitable for storage in an equipment bag, on a belt or in a vehicle.
