Description
Description
The Bradas disc filter catches solid impurities in irrigation water and helps protect drippers, spray nozzles and valves from blockages. Choose between 120 and 140 Mesh and connections with 1¼- or 1½-inch male threads. The removable disc stack can be cleaned and refitted.
Disc filter principle
Stacked plastic discs with fine grooves form the filter element. Water flows through the gaps while solid dirt particles are retained by the disc stack.
Mesh 120 or 140
The 140 Mesh version filters more finely than the 120 Mesh version. Match the choice to the required filtration level of the drippers or nozzles and the required flow rate. A finer filter must suit the system and may become dirty more quickly depending on water quality.
Installation in the main line
Choose the suitable 1¼- or 1½-inch male-thread connection and install the filter in the intended flow direction upstream of the components to be protected. An accessible installation point makes later opening and cleaning easier. Secure the pipe and filter without strain.
Cleaning and maintenance
First close the inlet and release the pressure from the filter and line. Only then open the housing, remove the disc stack and separate it for cleaning. Rinse off dirt gently, check the discs and seals for damage and reassemble the filter element correctly. After closing, open the water supply slowly and check the connection for leaks.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Mesh 120 and Mesh 140?
140 Mesh denotes the finer version here. The choice depends on the requirements of the connected drippers or nozzles and the required flow rate. The finer version is not automatically better for every system.
How is the filter cleaned?
Close the inlet and release the residual pressure. Open the housing, remove and separate the disc stack so that the individual discs can be rinsed. Reassemble it correctly, check the seals and check for leaks after closing.
How often must the filter be cleaned?
This depends on water quality and operating time. Check the filter regularly and when water delivery decreases. An increasing pressure difference between inlet and outlet indicates increasing contamination; maintain it according to the system requirements.
Does the disc filter remove limescale from the water?
It retains solid particles according to its filtration level. Dissolved lime-forming substances or salts pass through the filter, so it does not replace water softening.
Does the filter fit directly onto a standard tap?
Choose suitable female-thread connectors with 1¼ or 1½ inches. Connecting to a ¾-inch tap requires suitable adapters. The filter must also suit the intended water volume and system pressure.
