Description

Material and operation

The housing is made from nickel-plated brass. The ball valve is opened or closed with a quarter turn of the orange lever.

Connections

Screw the ½-inch male inlet thread into a suitable female-threaded connection. A plug-in connector adapter is fitted to the ¾-inch male outlet thread. A matching hose coupling connects the garden hose to the tap.

Use and draining before frost

The valve is suitable for cold-water connections, hose connections and irrigation applications. Drain any remaining water before the first frost.

Frequently asked questions

What do the ½ and ¾ inch specifications refer to?

½ inch refers to the male thread at the water inlet. The ¾-inch male thread is at the outlet and carries the hose adapter. The two measurements do not describe selectable inlet variants.

Can I push a garden hose directly onto it?

The hose needs a suitable plug-in coupling that fits the connector adapter at the outlet. Also select the coupling according to the hose diameter.

Can I use the lever to set an exact water volume?

The ball valve is primarily for opening and shutting off with a quarter turn. A particular lever position does not deliver a defined water volume; this also depends on pressure and the connected line.

Is the garden tap frost-proof?

Drain any remaining water from the tap and connected line before frost. The brass housing alone does not prevent damage caused by freezing water.
