Assembling small parts requires different handling from carrying larger objects. Compare the lining and material thickness against the task. Check the fit to ensure your fingers can move freely without being constricted.
Cold alone does not describe the working conditions. Consider possible contact with moisture too, and compare the stated properties accordingly. A winter lining does not automatically guarantee waterproofing or a specific documented level of protection against cold.
Start by noting whether you will be assembling small parts, carrying larger objects or tidying the garden. Add whether the surfaces will be dry or wet. Then compare size, lining, coated areas and model-specific information. A winter glove is not necessarily fully coated.
When trying them on, check that you can close your hand and straighten your fingers without the material pulling uncomfortably. If using glove liners, account for the change in fit and follow the manufacturer's guidance on combining them. Also decide how you will dry and store the pair after use in line with the care instructions. This helps you choose gloves that suit your actual routine over several working days.
