Description

Two Different Connection Ends

The hose side is a 16 mm hose tail. The nipple on the opposite side fits a suitable standard quick coupling. Insert the hose tail into the matching line end; it has no release sleeve of its own.

Connecting an Irrigation Line

Match the line size, material and connection type before installation. Prepare the hose end straight and undamaged. After assembly, initially check the connection is secure and leak-free with a low water flow.

Disconnecting and Storage

Shut off the water supply and depressurise the line before disconnecting. Release the push-fit connection at the female coupling. Before frost, remove all residual water from the line and connector.

This is the push-fit nipple with hose tail. A compatible hose coupling is required on the opposite side for quick connection and disconnection.

Can I connect two loose hose ends directly with it?

The connections are different: one hose tail and one push-fit nipple. To connect two loose hose ends, use a connector with two suitable hose sockets.

Does the push-fit nipple fit a PowerJet coupling?

The nipple belongs to the standard push-fit system. PowerJet uses a larger push-fit profile; a compatible counterpart or system adapter is required.

Why can a connection leak despite matching size designations?

The line wall thickness, material, condition of the hose end and complete seating also affect leak tightness. On the coupling side, additionally check the seal and locking. Shut off the water supply before testing.
