Check the shorter design in practice
| Situation | Selection | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Arms frequently raised above shoulder height | Assess the sleeves and hem with your arms raised | The jacket should not feel unexpectedly tight or short during this movement. |
| Belt or pockets at the trouser waistband | Check the hem position against the trousers you wear | The jacket and access to pockets are assessed together. |
| An extra layer underneath | Check the size and cuffs with all intended layers on | Freedom of movement is assessed with the actual combination. |
Example: working overhead
Put on your trousers and planned mid-layer, raise both arms and reach sideways. Check where the hem sits and whether the sleeves and shoulders provide enough room. If the short design does not suit the task, compare longer Work jackets.
