Work trousers

Work trousers let you combine trousers and tops independently. When choosing a pair, consider waist size, leg length and cut, as well as pocket positions during your everyday working movements.

Assess waist size and leg length separately

Use the measuring points in the relevant size chart and check whether it lists body or garment measurements. If the waist fits but the length does not, an available leg-length option is usually a more targeted choice than going up or down an overall clothing size.

Check movement before use

  • Sit down to check whether the waistband and pockets press against you.
  • When squatting, check for pulling at the crotch, knees and back of the waistband.
  • Assess the leg length with the footwear you intend to wear.
  • Test whether pockets remain accessible with your usual items inside.

Pockets and inserts

Assign a suitable pocket to each item you regularly carry. Check the fastening, depth and position. If knee pad pockets are provided, use only inserts specified for those particular trousers; a similar shape alone does not establish compatibility.
