From the bundle to the right cable tie
| Starting point | Decision | Result |
|---|---|---|
| A compact bundle | Measure the circumference at the planned tie point and allow the extra length specified by the manufacturer | Versions that are too short are ruled out. |
| A bundle routed through several points | Measure each tie point and plan separately for movement or installation needs | The quantity follows the actual positions. |
| A special environment | Consider only material versions explicitly specified for that environment | Colour or appearance does not replace approval for the environment. |
Example: organising three cables on a bracket
Arrange the cables along their intended route and measure the circumference at the tie point. Then check the length, width, fastening type and intended environment of the specific version. If the bundle needs to be attached to a surface, plan a separate mounting component rather than assuming the cable tie alone will do the job.
